"Oxford University Department for Continuing Education.
Oxford was one of the pioneers of the University Extension movement in the United Kingdom, and we still retain the original mission of making the scholarship of the University accessible to wider audiences.
In recent years the Department has grown very considerably, and now every year more than 15,000 people join one or more of our courses. "

Social and Political Studies |
| The study of societies, and our relationship to them is at the heart of Social and Political Studies. The Institute's tutors have been teaching this subject area for nearly fifty years - longer, in fact, than the University's own Social and Political Sciences Tripos. Indeed SPS is perhaps the 'adult' subject par excellence, and our courses are aimed especially at those who want to understand their own, and other societies in more depth and detail. |
